In this article, we will tell you which colours will define the year ahead.  <\/p>\n<h2>Colour trends that will stand out in 2023<\/h2>\n<p>The<strong> 2023 colour palette<\/strong> is already defined. Before the start of a new year, trend forecasters, artists and colour experts predict which tones will prevail. <\/p>\n<p>These are the colours that will have the greatest presence in creative applications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pale yellow. <\/strong>Conveys optimism, brightness and positive energy. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Soft aquamarine. <\/strong>It will stand out across its full range. It enhances concentration, conveys calm and soothes the mood, creating a sense of tranquillity.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>Lavender.<\/strong> A pale variation of violet that reflects elegance, empathy and extroversion. It will play a strong role this year.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>Pink.<\/strong> Associated with innocence, poetry and emotion, it remains at the forefront of trends and fashion references. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, there is <strong>one standout colour in graphic design<\/strong> that will have greater impact. We are referring to Pantone\u2019s Colour of the Year. Which one is it?  <\/p>\n<h2>Colour of the Year 2023 according to Pantone<\/h2>\n<p>In our article <a href=\"http:\/\/artyplan.com\/noticias\/tendencias-diseno-graficos-2022\"><em>Graphic Design Trends 2022,<\/em><\/a> we reviewed the key aesthetic developments of the year. We introduced 17-3938 Very Peri as Pantone\u2019s Colour of the Year, a blend of calm blue with violet-red undertones that conveyed creativity and innovation.  <\/p>\n<p>Its reign comes to an end and, as expected, Pantone has announced a new colour for 2023. The selected tone has a suggestive and positive name:<strong> Viva Magenta.<\/strong> With code 18-1750 TCX, it stands out for its expressive contrasts. <\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8824\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8824\" style=\"width: 353px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8824\" src=\"https:\/\/artyplan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/color-viva-magenta-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"viva magenta colour\" width=\"353\" height=\"218\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8824\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Designed by Freepik<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Positioned between red and fuchsia, <\/strong>widely used in 2022, it stands out for its balance between warmth and coolness, making it versatile and adaptable. In a way, it has chameleon-like qualities. It also succeeds in connecting the physical and digital worlds within a single chromatic plane.   <\/p>\n<p>It is, without a doubt, a vibrant, energetic and electrifying colour. It does not go unnoticed and<strong> immediately captures attention.<\/strong> Its hypnotic character, combined with a bold and inclusive nature, enhances self-expression, individuality and a desire to stand out.   <\/p>\n<h2>Colours and biodiversity<\/h2>\n<p>Before concluding this overview of 2023 colour trends, we now turn to <strong>biodiversity.<\/strong> Pantone Colour Institute highlighted this theme with a dedicated selection weeks before announcing the Colour of the Year. <\/p>\n<p>In this context, <strong>1775C<\/strong> has been selected as the <strong>Colour of Biodiversity 2023.<\/strong> This choice is not random; it represents a chromatic statement that the ecosystem can endure.  <\/p>\n<p>Did you know it i<strong>s inspired by the oldest pigment on Earth<\/strong>? It is a <strong>marine pink<\/strong> found in sedimentary rocks in Mauritania, with an estimated age of over 1,100 million years. It represents what Earth was like before the emergence of human life.  <\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, <strong>sustainability and ecology<\/strong> continue to be key priorities. As a result, the 2023 palette also reinforces nature-inspired tones.
