We share relevant content about inks. We begin with “latex inks”.
These inks are not made of latex, as the name might suggest, but of pigments and resins (polymers) suspended in a water-based solution with added humectants. This composition allows the ink to adhere to the print substrate and, once dry, form a flexible and durable film. As a water-based ink, it offers many of the advantages of solvent inks, without the associated environmental, health and safety concerns, while still delivering resistance, versatility and high print quality.
In addition to the quality of the finish, one of the main advantages of these inks is their sustainability. As they are primarily water-based, they do not produce odours or toxic residues when drying.
